London Removal Modern Slavery Statement
London Removal is committed to conducting all aspects of its business in an ethical, responsible, and lawful manner. This Modern Slavery Statement sets out the steps we take to prevent modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, and exploitation within our operations and supply chains. It applies to all employees, workers, contractors, and suppliers engaged by London Removal.
Our Commitment and Zero-Tolerance Policy
London Removal maintains a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking. We are committed to acting with integrity in all business dealings and relationships and to implementing effective systems and controls to ensure that modern slavery does not occur in our own business or in any of our supply chains.
All individuals working for or on behalf of London Removal are expected to uphold this commitment. Any breach of this policy by employees may result in disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal. Any breach by suppliers or contractors may result in the termination of contracts and cessation of business.
Our Business and Supply Chains
London Removal provides professional removals and related services. Our operations rely on a range of suppliers, including transport and logistics providers, equipment and materials suppliers, facilities and property services, and labour and recruitment partners.
We recognise that certain areas of our supply chain may present a higher risk of modern slavery, particularly where temporary labour, subcontracting, or overseas sourcing is involved. We are committed to understanding these risks and taking proportionate and effective actions to mitigate them.
Supplier Standards and Audit Processes
We expect all our suppliers and contractors to share our commitment to preventing modern slavery and to comply with all applicable labour, employment, and human rights laws. As part of our supplier management processes, we:
Require suppliers to confirm that they do not use forced, bonded, or involuntary labour and that they have policies and controls in place to prevent modern slavery. Assess new suppliers on their ethical and labour practices, taking into account the nature of the services provided and the geographic location of their operations. Reserve the right to conduct audits or request evidence from suppliers to verify compliance with our modern slavery requirements.
Where we identify concerns or areas for improvement, we will engage with suppliers to agree corrective action plans. Where serious or persistent breaches are identified, London Removal may suspend or terminate the business relationship.
Reporting Channels and Whistleblowing
London Removal encourages a culture of openness in which concerns about modern slavery or unethical behaviour can be raised without fear of retaliation. All employees, agency workers, contractors, and suppliers are expected to speak up if they suspect any form of modern slavery in our business or supply chain.
Concerns can be reported to line managers, senior management, or through established internal reporting channels. Reports will be treated seriously, handled sensitively, and investigated promptly and fairly. We do not tolerate victimisation or retaliation against anyone who raises a concern in good faith, even if it is not substantiated upon investigation.
Training, Awareness, and Accountability
We are committed to raising awareness of modern slavery risks among our workforce, particularly those involved in procurement, contract management, and recruitment. Training and guidance are provided so that employees understand the signs of modern slavery, know how to respond to concerns, and are aware of our expectations of suppliers.
Responsibility for implementing and monitoring this Statement rests with senior management, who ensure that appropriate resources and oversight are in place to uphold our standards and respond to emerging risks.
Monitoring, Review, and Continuous Improvement
London Removal recognises that the risks of modern slavery evolve over time. We are committed to regularly reviewing and improving our policies, procedures, and controls to strengthen our approach.
This Modern Slavery Statement is reviewed annually, or more frequently if required by changes in legislation, operations, or risk profile. As part of this review, we consider feedback from employees, suppliers, and other stakeholders, as well as the findings from audits and investigations. Any necessary updates to our practices will be implemented and communicated to relevant parties.
This Statement has been approved by the leadership of London Removal and represents our ongoing commitment to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all areas of our business and supply chains.
